A 20 strong team of athletes and support personnel departed for Holland this morning to compete in the IWAS World Junior Games which run from the 2nd to the 8th of July.
Whilst a multi sport competition the Irish team will solely compete in athletics track and field events.
Now in its 11th year, the Games visit Stadskanaal in Holland which has a great reputation for delivering high quality competitions.
The IWAS World Junior Games is an ideal platform to offer young athletes the opportunity to represent their country on the World stage, in some cases for the first time, whilst it also offers the more experienced younger athlete the opportunity to improve their respective world ranking.
